Ten Iranians were killed in Ukrainian strikes on the occupied territories of Ukraine this week, The Jerusalem Post reports, citing an unnamed Ukrainian official.
It is reported that the Iranians in question were instructors overseeing Russian forces launching kamikaze drones from within the occupied territories of Ukraine.
A week ago, The Washington Post reported, citing its sources, that Iran had struck a deal with Russia on the supply of Fateh-110 and Zolfaghar ballistic missiles to Russia, along with dozens of Muhajer-6 drones and “a large number” of Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
The newspaper also reported that Iranian instructors had been sent to Ukraine’s occupied territories to train Russian soldiers to use the equipment.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine first reported that they had taken down an Iranian Shahed-136 drone on 13 September. Since then, Russia-purchased Iranian drones have been used regularly in the attacks on Ukrainian territory.
