At least four killed, 19 injured in today’s attack on Ukraine

At least four people were killed and 19 were injured today in the attacks on Ukraine by the Russian army, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko reports.

Three people were killed and ten were injured in the Donetsk region; one was killed and two were injured in the Zaporizhzhia region. Five people were injured in the Kharkiv region and two in the Odesa region.

Ukraine’s electricity transmission operator Ukrenergo stated that the scale of damage to the country’s energy infrastructure is comparable to or even higher than what it was during the mass strikes on 10-12 October.

On 10 October, Russia delivered mass strikes on major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Kryvyi Rih, and Dnipro. Nineteen people were killed, and 105 were injured. A business centre, a park, a children’s playground, a philharmonic and several museums were damaged in the attack. Power supply was disrupted in at least 15 regions, with power and water shortages recorded in several regions. As a result of the attacks, about 30% of the country’s energy infrastructure was damaged.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the mass strike was delivered with “high-precision weapons” on Ukraine’s energy, communications and military command facilities.
