A 23-year-old mobilised man from Russia’s Buryatia Dmitry Sidorov was killed in the war in Ukraine, Russian outlet RBC reports, citing the administration of the man’s native village Ilka, Buryatia.
Sidorov was drafted on 22 September. In Ukraine, he served as driver of the 36th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade.
“Dmitry was killed on 4 October 2022 in the line of duty during conduction of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine,” the administration’s statement says.
Outlet Vpered reports that Sidorov was conscripted in 2017 for compulsory military service. He was a transport of missiles platoon driver. After coming back home, Dmitry worked as a plumber and later as a security guard.
The deceased is survived by his mother and four sisters.
Earlier, it was reported that four residents of Russia’s Krasnoyarsk region had been killed in the war in Ukraine. According to the local outlet, all of them were drafted on 26 September and had been sent to the frontlines within a week. The men were killed on 5 and 7 October in the Kherson region.
The killed conscripts are: Alexander Pomigalov, 23; Igor Puchkov, 27, father of two; Ivan Pukhov, 40, father of one; and Alexander Parilov, 35, father of two.
