An explosion went off in Dzhankoi, Crimea, which smashed the windows in a residential building, injuring a 11-year-old girl, Ukraine’s Graty reports.
The explosion happened at about 5 p.m. local time yesterday; two houses were damaged. The streets near the explosion site were blocked by police soon afterwards. Some reports say that the explosion was an accident while a tank was repaired in the vicinity, however, locals say that there were in fact two explosions, as if an air defence system took down a missile.
The girl was hurt by shards of glass from the smashed kitchen window. Her mother took her to hospital.
Igor Ivkin, the local Russia-appointed mayor, confirmed the damages to the buildings but denied an explosion.
