Mediazona: mobilised men from Russia’s Lipetsk are sent ‘to the Donbas frontline’ after one day of training

Tatiana Dotsenko, wife of one of the men mobilised in Russia’s city of Lipetsk, said that her husband’s regiment was being sent to “the Donbas frontline” after one day of training, reports outlet Mediazona.

According to her, her husband — 45-year-old Andrey Koziryov — is serving in the 237th Tank Regiment, “there are 1,000 of them, there was no medical commission.”

She also said that her husband received the enlistment notice on 22 September, he went to the military office on the same day. “At around 10:30, [they] were put in two buses which then headed out to the Belgorod region,” she specified. Koziryov was drafted as a grenade launcher, however, his military specialty is a private, Dotsenko claims.

“He called me half an hour ago, they were standing on a drill field, they had been given out bulletproof vests and helmets,” the woman said.

Earlier, the Belgorod region governor Vyatcheslav Gladkov said that the region citizens drafted during the “partial” mobilisation had already been taken to a military unit in a neighbouring region.

He added that all mobilised men would get a one-time payout of 100,000 rubles (€ 1,800). He did not clarify where the military unit was located or where the men would be transported to later on.
