Russians buy out tickets for upcoming flights to visa-free states

There are no more tickets left for the upcoming flights from Moscow to other states that do not require a visa for Russian citizens, RBC newspaper reports, citing the data provided by airlines and flight aggregator websites.

It is impossible to purchase tickets for flights from Moscow to Istanbul, Yerevan and Baku for today. The only ticket from Moscow to Istanbul for 21 September that was offered on the Aviasales website at approximately 2 p.m. cost over 325,000 rubles (€5,300).

“There is a similar situation with direct flights from Moscow to Yerevan. On the Aeroflot website, there are only business class tickets left for 23 September from 122,000 rubles [€2,000]. On the 24th, economy tickets are available for 62,000 [€1,030] rubles,” RBC notes.

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation in Russia.

Chairman of the Russian State Duma Defence Committee Andrey Kartapolov stated that there are no additional travel restrictions for reservists in Russia due to the partial mobilisation.
