About two hundred people attended the ceremony, including Alexander Dugin, founder of Tsargrad TV Konstantin Malofeev, chairman of A Just Russia party Sergey Mironov, governor of Russia’s Khabarovsk region Mikhail Degtyarev, TV presenter Dmitry Kiselev and many others.

“The untimely death of our dear and beloved Dasha will help us win this war. She wanted it, she lived for it, she served this goal. May she reach the Kingdom of Heaven, where I am sure she will be a warrior of Christ. May God rest her soul,” Malofeev said.

For his part, Degtyarev said that he had known Dugina for a long time. He also expressed support for the “special military operation”. “The decision made by our president to kick the Nazi regime in Kyiv and all our enemies in the teeth is the only right one. Our cause is just,” he said.

Chairman of the Liberal and Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) Leonid Slutsky was also in attendance. “Regardless of your party, there can only be one approach. One country. One president. One victory! May God rest Dasha’s soul. May her memory live forever,” he said in his speech. A similar motto, “Ein volk, ein reich, ein führer” (“One nation, one realm, one leader”), was used in Nazi Germany.

Later, Slutsky told reporters that despite the differences between Russia’s residents, “we should all be as united as never before”. He also promised that a street or a square would be named after Dugina in “Kyiv liberated from Nazism”.

Daria Dugina was killed in a car explosion on 20 August near the village of Bolshye Vyazemy in the Moscow region. The 29-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the car. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case in relation to murder committed in a publicly dangerous way.

Later, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) accused the Ukrainian special services of planning the murder. Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier signed a decree awarding Daria with an Order of Courage.
