Drone attacks Russia’s Black Sea Fleet HQ in Crimea’s Sevastopol on Navy Day, ceremonies cancelled

The headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet was attacked by a drone, says Mikhail Razvozhaev, the local governor.

“Ukraine’s nazis have spoiled our Navy Day. All ceremonies have been cancelled over safety concerns. Please stay calm and stay home!” he wrote on his Telegram.

He says the attack was delivered at six in the morning; six people were injured, including two with medium severity injuries. The drone was equipped with an explosive device of low capacity, the Black Sea Fleet says.

Ukraine has yet to comment on the matter. Vladimir Putin visited a ceremony in Kronstadt near Saint Petersburg, the place where a base of Russia’s Baltic Fleet is stationed, to congratulate the local crews on Navy Day.
