Russian Defence Ministry confirms strikes on Dnipro and Mykolaiv

Russia’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed strikes on Ukrainian cities of Mykolaiv and Dnipro in the daily briefing published on its website.

According to the Russian ministry, “attacks launched by high-precision long-range air-based armament have resulted in the elimination of workshops for producing components and repairing Tochka-U ballistic missiles, as well as MRLS projectiles in Yuzhny Machinery Plant” in Dnipro.

Earlier, the head of the Dnipro regional military administration Valentin Reznichenko reported that three people had been killed and 15 injured following the shelling of Dnipro. According to him, the missiles hit an industrial enterprise as well as a street filled with people nearby.

Additionally, Russia’s Defence Ministry reported that there was an “attack launched by Russian Aerospace Forces at a provisional base of 123rd Territorial Defence Brigade of the AFU” in Mykolaiv. The attack, according to the ministry, resulted in “the elimination of up to 200 nationalists and foreign mercenaries, as well as 13 armoured and motor vehicles”.

Today, the head of the Mykolaiv region Vitaliy Kim reported that at 4:00 am Mykolaiv had been shelled. It is currently unknown whether there are victims.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defence confirmed a strike on a House of Officers in Vinnytsia, claiming that a Ukraine’s Armed Forces meeting on arms supply was taking place there at the time.

Local authorities reported that 24 people had been killed, while 68 civilians are still being treated, including four children. Also, four local residents still have not been found and are considered to be missing.
