At least ten civilians were killed yesterday by the Russian shelling in the regions of Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv, local officials report.
Four people lost their lives in Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk where there is currently active combat, says Serhiy Haidai, the Luhansk governor. Russia also shelled the ammonia production at the Azot chemical plant.

Another four civilians were killed and 11 were injured in the localities of Kurakhove and Avdiivka, according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, the Donetsk governor.

Two more civilians were killed and four were injured in Kharkiv, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine says. Ukraine’s major city was shelled on 8 June at around 11 in the evening local time, causing a large-scale fire which damaged a local school and several other buildings and interrupted the TV signal.

The “DPR” also report casualties, they claim two were wounded and one was injured as Ukraine shelled Lyman.
It is impossible to quickly check the official data on the victims during warfare.
The Russian forces continued efforts to gain control over the eastern outskirts of Sievierodonetsk on 8 June, says the US-based Institute for the Study of War. They are likely seeking to advance up the west bank of the Donets River to avoid conducting a challenging opposed river crossing from Sievierodonetsk. Russia continued to hold its defencive lines north of Kharkiv and conducted artillery and MLRS attacks on the city and the surrounding settlements on 8 June, the ISW confirms.
Seven people were killed and 17 were injured by Russia’s shelling of Kharkiv on 26 May, according to Oleh Synyehubov, the local governor.
