A woman injured in yesterday’s shelling of Zhuravlyovka in the Belgorod region of Russia near the Ukrainian border died in hospital, says Vyacheslav Gladkov, the local governor.
“Apart from that, the situation in our region is pretty low-key, except for some localities near the state border, such as Zhuravlyovka, Nekhoteevka and Sereda. I wish to remind the evacuated residents that visiting these localities is strongly recommended against until further notice,” he said.
One civilian was killed by a Ukrainian shell in the locality of Tyotkino in the Kursk region of Russia on 19 May. On 11 May, one person was killed and seven were injured in the attack on the settlement of Solokhi in the Belgorod region. A school teacher was injured in yesterday’s shelling of Vorobzha in the Kursk region, as per Roman Starovoyt, the local governor.
