At least three people were killed in the shelling of Lysychansk yesterday as a humanitarian aid centre came under attack. A local enterprise was also shelled in Sievierodonetsk, another city in the Luhansk region. As a result of air strikes, 11 residential buildings were destroyed, the governor added.

The Russian forces continue steady advances around Sievierodonetsk and likely seek to completely encircle the Sievierodonetsk-Lysychansk area in the coming days, says the US-based Institute for the Study of War. The Ukrainian officials say Russia’s efforts are focused on taking Lyman under control and improving their tactical positioning in the vicinities of Sievierodonetsk and Avdiivka.
