Karin Kneissl who served as Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs between 2017 and 2019 has left her position in the board of directors at Rosneft, Russia’s state-owned energy giant, reads the company’s statement.
The decision came into force on 20 May. Kneissl has opted not to extend her term as the board member.
Gerhard Schröder, the ex-chancellor of Germany, stepped down as chairman of the board at Rosneft last week. The ruling party of Germany had decided to deprive him of his ex-chancellor privileges due to his ties with Russia earlier.
