The locality of Solokha in the Belgorod region was shelled by the Ukrainian army, claims Vyacheslav Gladkov, the local governor.
He reported later that one person was hurt by the blast and died in an ambulance; three more were injured. This is the first time a civilian has died on Russia’s mainland territory since the start of the invasion on 24 February.
