Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov stated that bodies of 44 civilians were found under the rubble of a five-storey building in the city of Izium, currently occupied by the Russian army.
According to Synehubov, the building was destroyed in early March. On March 24, the Russian Defence Ministry announced that it had taken control of Izium, and later fully blocked Kharkiv.
The governor did not specify where he got the information from.
Russia has not issued a statement on this report so far.
Earlier, Operational Command South of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that one person was killed and five were injured in a missile strike on Odesa.
