According to Roskomnadzor’s website, this was done at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, the decision was made on April 18. The website of GSC Game World, a Ukrainian video game developer and creator of the cult S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, was blocked in Russia in late March. The website featured a message calling out to help the Ukrainian people and condemning the Russian invasion.
GSC Game World barred Russian buyers from pre-purchasing the long-awaited game shortly after the invasion started. ‘We don’t care about losing those members of our community who support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine’, read the studio’s statement.
