Two killed in Russian attack on Kherson

Two people have been killed in a Russian attack on the city of Kherson, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said on Thursday.

The head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrochko, said that a man and a woman, aged between 50 and 55, were killed in the artillery attack. One of the victims is a utility worker who was cutting down branches of trees at the moment of the attack, Yermak added.

The head of the Kherson region military administration Oleksandr Prokudin said Thursday morning that the Russian army had shelled the Kherson region 78 times in 24 hours, launching 445 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, aviation, drones, and BM-21 Grad rocket launchers, with 25 shells directed at the city of Kherson. The Russian military hit residential buildings in the region and an educational institution in Kherson, injuring two people.

The Russian army previously attacked Kherson on Tuesday, killing two and injuring seven.
