Two killed in shelling of Russia’s Bryansk region

A man and a woman were killed in an artillery attack on the Russian village of Klimovo in the Bryansk region, governor Alexander Bogomaz said on Tuesday.

It had been previously reported that a 10-year-old child had died in the strike. Bogomaz later announced that there has been no information to confirm these claims.

Bogomaz wrote that the shelling had damaged several administrative buildings, including a school, as well as residential blocks, and disrupted the power supply. He said that the emergency services were on the scene and that those injured were receiving the necessary medical attention.

Last week, a strike on a village in the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, left a civilian dead. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov also reported the shelling of another settlement, which injured six people.
