A drone strike on a school in the town of Romny in northern Ukraine has killed four people, city council leader Oleksandr Lysenko reported Wednesday afternoon.
The victims included the head teacher, his deputy, his secretary, and the librarian. A further four people sustained injuries.
“Today at 10.05 AM, a Russian Shahed drone struck an educational facility. Unfortunately, the building has been completely destroyed,” the local administration reported.
The rescue effort is currently ongoing.
Earlier today, the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleh Kiper, said that the Russian army had launched multiple drone strikes on the region over a three-hour period, causing a fire in a shipping complex and a grain storage facility on the Danube.
