The local authorities have closed the airspace over the Moscow Vnukovo airport, Russian state media outlet TASS reports, citing emergency services.
“The airspace in the Vnukovo airport area has been closed, departing and incoming flights have been delayed,” the new agency writes.
The airport press service has confirmed that it is closed for the time being. Some planes have been redirected to other airports.
According to another Russian state news media RIA Novosti, a drone is the reason for the temporary shut down.
