Russian attacks killed four people and injured 18 others in the Kherson region on Monday, the head of the regional administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, said.
Three of the dead and 17 of those injured are residents of Kherson city. The youngest victim is a 16 year-old girl, who had to be hospitalised in serious condition.
“One of the dead and six of injured are employees of a utility company, another five are volunteers. They came under enemy fire while helping Kherson residents to eliminate the consequences of shelling and waterlogging,” Prokudin elaborated.
An 80-year-old woman died in the village of Kozatske after a Russian guided aerial bomb hit her house. A Russian strike on the town of Beryslav left a man with injuries.
Prokudin explained that the shelling has intensified due to the rotation of the Russian army on the left bank of the Dnipro river. “Russia has replenished its forces, which had been previously defeated by the Ukrainian army. Will destroy these ones too, but we need to wait a little,” Prokudin wrote.
