Ukrainian film director Oleh Sentsov has published a video detailing his experience of concussion symptoms after combat.
He recorded the video immediately after receiving the injury and explained that the battle that had just ended was very important for the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
He later pointed out that the video was shot on Saturday and that on the next day he was already in hospital with other servicemen. Sentsov assured that he was already feeling better.
Oleh Sentsov joined the Ukrainian army in the first days of Russia’s invasion and is serving in the 47th mechanised brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. He was promoted to junior lieutenant in June.
Soon after the annexation of Crimea in 2014, Russian authorities arrested film director Oleh Sentsov and a group of Ukrainian activists for “plotting terrorist acts”. Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years behind bars and returned to Ukraine in 2019 after a prisoner swap.
