Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the Ukrainian General Staff Oleksiy Hromov confirmed that Ukrainian forces hit the bridge across the Chonhar Strait (Crimea) with Storm Shadow missiles on 22 June.
“The efficiency of these cruise missiles is evidenced by the damage done to the bridges across [Lake] Sivash near Chonhar, which has considerably complicated the enemy’s ammunition supply lines and other logistics”, Hromov told Ukrinform.
Head of annexed Crimea Sergey Aksyonov reported the strike on Chonhar Bridge in the early hours of 22 June. “The road is damaged on the bridges. The traffic between the Kherson region and Crimea is still flowing. Car transits via a reserve route have been organised temporarily”, said Vladimir Saldo, a Russia-installed official in the partly occupied Kherson region.
