Ukraine liberates Rivnopil in Donetsk region
Ukraine’s military has liberated the locality of Rivnopil in the Donetsk region, says Hanna Maliar, the Deputy Defence Minister of the country.
The settlement is located on the border between the regions of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. It was occupied during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Militarnyi, a Ukrainian media outlet, reported yesterday that the country’s military had hit a convoy of Russian armoured machinery in the vicinity of Rivnopil.
Hanna Maliar announced on 24 June that Ukraine had started an offensive on multiple directions simultaneously in east Ukraine. A total of 130 square kilometres of land is reported to be liberated in south Ukraine as of now.
