Ukraine’s General Staff reports recapturing seven settlements in Zaporizhzhia region

Ukraine’s military has liberated seven settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, says Oleksiy Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operations Department at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He stated that Ukraine has regained control over 103 square km of its territory. Advances through Russia’s defences varied from 3 to 6.5 km on different portions of the frontline.

“We have taken 22 square km under control in the Melitopol direction, and liberated the locality of Lobkove. In the Berdyansk direction, Ukrainian warriors have liberated six settlements: Levadne, Novodarivka, Neskuchne, Storozheve, Makarivka, and Bilohorivka,” Brigade General Hromov reported.

He also mentioned that Ukraine does not see any signs of Russia preparing another mass mobilisation.

“Apparently, the reason is the growing awareness in Russian society of how serious the losses in Ukraine are. Also, the poorest parts of Russia’s population that were the core element of the previous mobilisation are not ready to participate in the war now,” Hromov concluded.
