The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports in its latest bulletin that the Ukrainian army pressed on with its counter-offensive efforts against Russia on at least four stretches of the frontline on 10 June.
The think tank notes, citing Eastern Group of Forces Spokesperson Colonel Serhiy Cherevaty, that Ukrainian troops advanced by 1,400 metres in unspecified areas near Bakhmut, while Russian military bloggers reported Ukraine’s attacks northwest and northeast of Bakhmut.
The Ukrainian army also clinched local victories in the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia region border area, particularly near Velyka Novosilka, as well as southwest and southeast of Orikhiv. Meanwhile, Russian military bloggers deny these reports.
The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that Ukraine was conducting localised attacks near Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk-Zaporizhzhia region border area. It is also reported that Russian forces managed to achieve limited success northeast of Kupiansk.
