The body of a two-year-old girl has been recovered from under the rubble left after an apartment building was hit by a missile in Ukraine’s Dnipro region, regional governor Serhiy Lysak reported.
According to him, the number of injured people has risen to 22, with five of them being children.
“Two two-storey apartment buildings were partially destroyed after the enemy’s missile landed between them. Moreover, ten private houses, a car, a shop, and gas pipelines are also damaged,” he wrote.
Lysak added that two cruise missiles and a drone were downed over the Dnipro region overnight. According to the regional chief, artillery shelling of Nikopol damaged three apartment blocks, a restaurant, and power lines. No one was killed.
Russia has not commented on the strike yet.
Four people were killed in a missile strike on a medical facility in Dnipro in late May.
