An explosion has occurred in the Russian city of Krasnodar, no one was hurt, as per the city’s mayor Yevgeny Naumov.
The Operational HQ of the Krasnodar region reports that a “bang” was heard at 4:17 AM local time.
“An office building and a residential building were damaged. According to preliminary data, no one was hurt. Some windows were shattered in a five-storey building. Roofing got damaged in a private house nearby,” Naumov writes.
Russian Telegram channel Baza reports that local residents heard two bangs. According to preliminary data, an air defence system was activated.
“Krasnodar was attacked by two drones. According to eyewitnesses, the time between explosions was about 12 minutes. At least one of the UAVs was shot down,” the media outlet claims.
The governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratyev has confirmed the crash of two drones.
Some buildings were damaged, but critical infrastructure was not affected, he has said.
Furthermore, the Belgorod and Rostov regions of Russia were also subjected to attacks overnight.
In the Belgorod region, several districts were shelled. According to the local governor, no one was hurt.
In the Rostov region, an air defence system shot down a Ukrainian missile in the area near the town of Morozovsk, as per the regional governor Vasily Golubev.
