Governor of annexed Sevastopol: over 10 drones attacked city overnight

More than 10 drones attacked annexed Crimea overnight, governor of the annexed city of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhayev reports.

UPDATE 3:01 PM

In the night, Russian air defence shot down 22 Ukrainian drones in the Black Sea waters, as per Russia’s Defence Ministry.

“One UAV lost control and crashed in the forest belt in the area of 5 km, the debris was found by law enforcement and emergency workers. The second drone was shot down over the sea in the area near the Khersones cape, the third over the sea from the Severnyy Mol direction,” Razvozhayev says.

According to the governor, the attack was repelled by air defence and electronic warfare units, no city facilities were damaged.

Yesterday, 6 May, Russian air defence shot down two Ukrainian ballistic missiles Hrim-2 in the Crimean sky, Adviser to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov said.

Hrim is an operational-tactical missile system developed by Ukrainian design office Yuzhne in the city of Dnipro. The project was unveiled in 2013.

According to the developers, Hrim’s range varies from 50 to 500 km, depending on the missile type. That is significantly higher than the range wielded by Russia’s Tochka-U missile — from 15 to 120 km.
