Local authorities: Russia attacks church in Zaporizhzhia region and housing in Mykolaiv region, two teenagers dead

Two teenagers born in 2005 were killed in Ukraine’s Mykolaiv region by Russian shelling, Vitali Kim, the local governor, reports.

Preliminary indications are that Russia used S-300 missile systems overnight, hitting civilian housing. Residential buildings, educational facilities, and a private business were damaged.

“The overnight attack damaged two educational institutions, a hospital, a community centre, and residential buildings in Snihurivka. No injuries have been reported so far,” he wrote.

The Russian military also attacked a church in the Zaporizhzhia region on the night before the Orthodox Easter, Yury Malashko, the local governor, says. This happened in the locality of Komyshuvakha.

“They have no bounds, even religious ones, so they executed a mass attack on the night before Christ’s resurrection. A local church was damaged in Komyshuvakha, luckily, there was no divine worship there at that time,” the Telegram channel of the local administration says.

Nearby buildings were also damaged, Malashko added.

A mother and her daughter were killed in Kherson by a Russian shelling yesterday. The killed women were 48 and 28 years old, respectively. The Russian shells hit a space near an educational facility, local officials report.

The recent Russian attack on a residential block in Sloviansk has claimed the lives of 12 people so far.
