The Ukrainian Armed Forces have attempted to shell a station on the Druzhba pipeline located in Russia’s Bryansk region, Russian company Transneft reports, as per an official statement.
“Yesterday evening, an attempt to shell an oil pumping station Novozybkovo was made. The station is used during peak loads of the Druzhba pipeline as an one-time measure,” official representative of Transneft Igor Demin says.
According to him, the last time it was used was for a period of several hours last year.
No one was hurt after the shell had hit the territory where the station is located, an emergency crew is currently fixing the damage. The Druzhba pipeline is operating normally.
Telegram channel Mash previously reported on the shelling. According to the information available to the channel, an OTR-21 Tochka missile was used to strike on the pipeline.
