Two S-300 missiles have hit one of Kharkiv’s districts, Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov reports. According to him, infrastructure facilities were the target.
Updates on potential victims and damages are still to come. The city’s metro has temporarily suspended its operations while some districts have been left without power.
One of the critical infrastructure facilities caught fire after explosions that occurred at about 6 AM, Head of the Kyiv region military administration Oleksiy Kuleba says. According to initial reports, no one was hurt. However, according to Deputy Chief of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Oleksandr Pavliuk, the explosion sounds are in no way connected to any form of military action, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko reports explosions in the Dnipro district of the city. The Office of the President of Ukraine clarifies that the missile strike targeted critical infrastructure facilities of the city.
Russian troops also attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia, according to the secretary of the City Council. There is no information about damages or injuries.
The Mykolaiv region authorities say that the Ochakivska and Kutsurubska municipalities were shelled in the morning. A civil infrastructure facility caught fire in the city of Ochakiv following a MLRS attack. According to initial reports, no one was hurt.
