In the morning of 2 January, a drone attacked the Klimovsky district of Russia’s Bryansk region, local governor Alexander Bogomaz says in a Telegram post.
“In the morning, a Ukrainian UAV carried out an attack on the Klimovsky district. No one was hurt. All emergency crews are operating on site,” Bogomaz’ message reads.
An energy facility was damaged in the attack; a village was left with electricity, he adds.
Bogomaz does not clarify the name of the village attacked by the drone and does not mention any other details of the attack.
The governor previously reported drones shot down in the region on 29 December. According to him, the air defence system was activated in the Klintsovsky district on that day.
