Russia’s Ministry of Defence has declared that four US made HARM anti-radar missiles had been shot down in the airspace of the Belgorod region of the country. The corresponding statement was posted on the ministry’s official Telegram channel.
It is unclear where and when the missiles were shot down. No further details have been shared by the Russian ministry.
In September, the Pentagon provided Ukraine with military aid estimated at $675 mln. The aid package counted not only the HARM missiles that can be directed at radar stations but also additional ammunition for light multiple rocket launchers HIMARS, four 105mm calibre howitzers, artillery shells, armoured vehicles, anti-tank systems, ammo, grenade launchers, and firearms.
The Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has already reported the region being shelled twice today. According to him, about 14,000 residents of the Shebekino city district were left without power following the shelling.
