Russia’s Defence Minister Shoigu says Russia captured six villages in Donetsk region

Russia’s Armed Forces have “recently” captured six villages in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, Russia’s Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu claims, as quoted by Russian state news agency TASS.

“The Russian Armed Forces continue to liberate Donbass [Donbas]. Recently Maiorsk, Pavlovka [Pavlivka], Opytnoye [Opytne], Andreevka [Andriivka], Belogorovka Yuzhnaya [Bilohorivka Yuzhnaia] and Kurdyumovka [Kurdyumivka] have come under the Russian control,” Shoigu says

He claims that in November over 8,300 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, and that “five aircraft, 10 helicopters, 149 tanks, and over 300 armoured combat vehicles” were destroyed. Furthermore, according to Shoigu, massive missile strikes on Ukraine are being conducted because Russia’s Defence Ministry wants to crush the military power of the enemy.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence previously confirmed the death of three Russian servicemen following Ukrainian UAVs attacking airfields Dyagilevo and Engels. Moreover, four servicemen were wounded.
