As of 9:30 AM local time, 130,000 Kyiv residents have no access to power, the city’s military administration notes.
The whole city’s water supply has been restored in full. Cellular networks are up and running “almost” in all districts, issues can occur in areas without electricity.
All repairs are expected to be completed within 24 hours.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier said that Kyiv residents file a lot of complaints against the city authorities for poor deployment of “invincibility stations” where people can access heat and electricity.
“Stations rolled out on the basis of the [Ukrainian] state emergency service and the train station are basically well supplied, the others should be worked on, to put it mildly,” the leader said.
According to him, 600,000 people had no power in Kyiv, many of then for over 30 hours.
