Novosibirsk region deputy for United Russia, Russia’s principal, pro-Putin political party, Sergey Mamontov ran over a six-year-old boy and left the scene of the crime, abandoning the child with no help, a message on the website of the United Russia Novosibirsk branch states. The accident took place in the town of Tatarsk, Novosibirsk region. Mamontov will be expelled from the party “with disgrace”, chief of the regional executive committee of the party Yuliya Shvets says.
“The act committed by <...> Sergey Mamontov causes only bewilderment and disgust. It’s difficult to call someone who ran over a child and left him on the road without any help a human in any meaningful sense. He should be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” she said, adding that the boy’s family would be provided with all necessary help.
