In the morning, the rescue crew pulled out an 11-year-old boy from the debris, Sienkevych noted. He was handed into doctors’ care.

According to the rescuers’ data, at least 7 residents of the building could still be trapped under the rubble. There is no communication with the people trapped.

The rescuers also reported that one of the missiles had hit the rescue station building of the local State Paramilitary Mining Rescue Squad of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko also reported that the Kyiv region had been subjected to strikes in the morning.

“Once again, kamikaze drones hit critical infrastructure objects,” he wrote in a Telegram post.

Yesterday, 12 October, Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that around 30% of energy infrastructure in Ukraine had been hit by Russian missiles since Monday, 10 October.

He added that it was the “first time from the beginning of the war” that Russia had “abruptly targeted” energy infrastructure.
