Russia’s FSB detains supporter of movement Artpodgotovka in Krasnoyarsk, he is suspected of setting draft office on fire

The Federal Security Service (FSB) for the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk has detained a 23-year-old man suspected of setting one of the city’s draft offices on fire, reports Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti, citing a source. 

According to the agency, the suspect is a supporter of the Interregional Social Movement Artpodgotovka banned in Russia. RIA Novosti’s source claims that the man committed arson on the morning of 3 October “with the goal of terrorising the population and inducing the region’s residents to refuse to participate in and support the special military operation on demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine”.

A criminal case under article on attempted terrorism was initiated against the man. He is facing from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment. 

The footage of the attempted arson was shared by Telegram channel CHP Krasnoyarsk. 

An unknown man tried to set a Krasnoyarsk draft office on fire in the early hours of 4 October, Baza and NGS24.RU previously reported, citing sources. The building’s facade was damaged.
