Alexey Katerinichev, the deputy head of the pro-Russian “occupation administration” in Ukraine’s Kherson, was killed by a missile strike, Kirill Stremousov, another deputy head, reports.
Katerinichev was in a building that was hit by two HIMARS missiles. He was appointed to his position on 18 August. He hails from Russia where he served for the frontier forces between 1996 and 2021 before he joined the FSB and then for Russia’s Emergency Ministry’s foreign troops.
