Russia dismisses Deputy Defence Minister
Dmitry Bulgakov, Russia’s Deputy Defence Minister, has been removed from his position “as he will be transferred to another appointment,” Russia’s MoD reports.
Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev will be Bulgakov’s replacement; he will be in charge of logistics and supplies. Mizintsev’s previous position was head of Russia’s National Defence Operations Centre.
Mizintsev faced EU sanctions in early June. He was running the operation on “unlocking Mariupol” earlier.
