Psychiatric hospital in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region comes under shelling during evacuation of patients

The Russian army has shelled a psychiatric hospital in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region during the evacuation of patients, Oleg Synegubov, the head of the regional military administration, reports.

According to him, four doctors were killed and two patients were injured. Only 30 patients have been evacuated out of 600 total.

Officials of the self-proclaimed Donetsk “people’s republic” (“DPR”) stated that the territory of the Volnovakha penitentiary in Olenivka had been shelled by the Ukrainian army.

“As a result of the shelling, a Ukrainian prisoner of war was killed, five more POWs were injured, they received the necessary medical aid. There are no injured among the personnel of the Volnovakha penitentiary,” a statement by the “DPR ministry of justice” reads.

It is impossible to promptly verify the information provided by the warring sides during an ongoing conflict.

In its daily bulletin, the Russian Defence Ministry stated that they had destroyed a Ukrainian ammo depot in the area of Kharkiv.
