Unidentified person throws Molotov cocktails at Oryol regional administration building 

An unidentified person threw two Molotov cocktails into the main entrance of the Oryol Region administration building on the morning of 24 August, reported governor Andrei Klychkov in his Telegram channel. 

According to him, the incident occurred at 07:50 Moscow time. “The fire was quickly extinguished. An [emergency services] employee sustained burns while putting it out and was given medical treatment," Klychkov said. He added that a member of the administration’s staff was injured, but was in good condition.

Klychkov posted a video depicting a person in a black jacket riding up to the Oryol Regional Administration, stopping outside and throwing Molotov cocktails at the building. 

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, a number of Russian cities have reported arson attacks on military recruitment centres. Arson has been attempted in Cherepovets, Nizhnevartovsk, Balashikha in the Moscow region, and other cities.
