Five civilians died, 10 more were injured in the shelling of Ukraine’s Donetsk region, head of the regional administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said.
“On 18 August, the Russians killed 5 civilians in the Donetsk region: 2 in Avdiivka, 1 in Druzhba, 1 in Zelenopillya and 1 in Pervomaiskyi,” Kyrylenko noted.
According to him, at least 744 civilians were killed in the region, while at least 1,928 more were injured since the Russian invasion began in February. Kyrylenko adds that it is still impossible to clarify exactly how many people died in Mariupol and Volnovakha.
The “DPR” mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported that six people died and 23 more locals sustained injuries on the territories that are controlled by the pro-Russian “authorities” in the past 24 hours.
