Enerhodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov has claimed that the Russian military has again shelled the area around the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Orlov wrote on his Telegram channel.
“According to locals, fire was again opened from the park zone towards the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and industrial area. The interval between the launch and strike is 3-5 seconds,” he said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian intelligence agency said that the pumping station’s block 1 had been damaged in an artillery strike, while the building of the fire station responsible for safeguarding the plant had partially collapsed.
At the same time, Vladimir Rogov, member of the occupation “administration” of the Zaporizhzhia region said that Enerhodar and the power plant were targeted by Ukrainian attacks.
“According to eyewitnesses, explosions can be heard in the city again. Strikes are located in the Dnipro River area and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
