Kirill Martyushev, 22, from Russia’s Tyumen region, has been placed on the list of terrorists and extremists after a criminal procedure had been initiated against him for criticising the country’s actions in Ukraine.
Martyushev is suspected of “public calls for extremist activities.” The detectives’ theory is that on 24 February, the day the Ukraine War began, he posted a video where he “negatively assessed the actions of police officers and called for violent action towards them.” He was detained during an anti-war rally on the same day and first got away with a 19,000 rubles (€320) fine, but was later arrested by the FSB.
