A Moscow court has fined Russian journalist Yury Dud to the tune of 120,000 rubles (approximately €2,000) for propagating “non-traditional sexual relations among minors”.
It was not specified on what grounds he was charged.
Head of the Safe Internet League Ekaterina Mizulina explained that Dud had been fined for his interview with Russian artist Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich.
The investigation requested a linguistic expertise of the video, which ruled that the interview violated the Russian federal law “on protecting children from information causing harm to their health and development.”
In October 2021, a Moscow court slapped a 100,000-ruble (approximately €1,680) fine on Dud for “propagating drugs”. The court ruled that the journalist was promoting drug use in his interviews with Russian rapper Morgenshtern and Ukrainian videoblogger EeOneGuy.
