Ivan Fedotov, goaltender of the Russian hockey club CSKA and the Russian national hockey team, detained in relation to a case regarding evading military service, was sent to Severomorsk, reports Russian state news agency TASS, citing the hockey player’s lawyer Alexey Ponomarev.
“He was taken yesterday from the hospital. Where to, we don’t know yet, we are trying to find out. It will probably be Severomorsk, because it’s the place of his potential service, but we can’t say for sure. I don’t have any information on the state of his health,” said Ponomarev.
Fedotov was detained two days ago in St. Petersburg while exiting an ice arena. After his detention, he was taken to a conscription office, where he became ill, and from there, he was transferred to a hospital, reports Russian state sports TV channel Match TV.
