18 killed as Russia strikes Ukraine’s Odesa region with missiles
At least 18 civilians were killed by Russia’s missile strikes in Ukraine’s Odesa region; 31 people were injured, including three children and a pregnant woman, according to the country’s State Emergency Service.
One of the missiles hit a nine-storey apartment block in Serhiivka. The building was partially destroyed; a nearby shop caught on fire. The rescuers managed to retrieve seven people, including three children, from under the rubble. Other missiles hit the region’s recreation facilities.
Russia used Kh-22 anti-ship missiles launched from the Black Sea, Ukraine’s army officials say.
