At least three people were killed in the shelling of Lysychansk, a city in Ukraine’s Luhansk region, by the Russian army, regional governor Serhiy Gaidai stated on his Telegram channel.
According to Gaidai, a humanitarian aid centre came under attack. A local enterprise was also shelled in Sievierodonetsk, another city in the Luhansk region. As a result of air strikes, 11 residential buildings were destroyed, the governor added.
A volunteer vehicle that transported humanitarian aid and food to the Luhansk region was also damaged in the attacks.
Last week, at least 12 people were killed in attacks on Sievierodonetsk. The governor stated that the attacks deliberately targeted residential buildings.
